Analytical Modeling of an Axial Field Magnetic Coupler With Cylindrical Magnets

چکیده

A 2-D analytical model is proposed to calculate the magnetic field distribution in axial coupler with disk magnets. The simplification possible by assuming an infinite radius of ferromagnetic yokes. Then, solution obtained for a single magnet. This allows determination due all magnets so total superposition. To demonstrate validity model, results are compared those from 3-D finite-element (FE) simulations and experimental tests carried out on equipped high temperature superconducting (HTS) pancake coils.
